Today we’re announcing that after two years of helping people discover and share great books, we will be shutting down Slice Bookshelf on March 31. We’re proud of the community that rallied around Bookshelf and are inspired by the incredible sharing and discovery that came from it.
While it’s sad to say goodbye to Bookshelf, we’re eager to put our hearts into expanding our core product, Slice, and exploring more ways to use Slice’s technology.
We want to make this transition as smooth as possible for everyone who uses Bookshelf. If you have an active account, you’ve already received an email from our team with information about how the closure affects your Bookshelf data, along with steps for transferring your account to Goodreads, if you so choose. The simple steps are also outlined here, and all data will be available to download until April 30.
Of course, you can continue to access your book purchases through Slice’s mobile or web apps, and we hope that you continue to use Slice to keep track of everything you buy online. If you have any questions or concerns, don’t hesitate to shoot us a note at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Thank you for supporting Bookshelf and contributing to this vibrant community of book lovers.
