It’s time to talk about a not-so-fun issue: chafing in the summer. When we were kids, we were blissfully unaware of this problem, wearing skirts and dresses galore with not a care in the world. Then, as we (I) got older, after a long day in a dress, our (my) thighs looked as though sandpaper had gotten to them. Not fun.

Well, ladies, there are two things we (I) can do to relieve ourselves of this warm-weather annoyance: either wear Spanx or bicycle shorts under everything, or pick up an array of the glorious pieces that are rompers. Perfect for warm weather, never worry about feeling uncomfortable while walking a few steps again. These are the best places to get ‘em:

RUE 21

The best thing about these pieces is that, since you’ll only be wearing them in nice weather, you don’t need to spend a lot on items that’ll last for years. Rue 21, affiliate of Forever 21 (I know, I know), has price ranges from $10 to $20, which means a little shopping spree won’t hurt your bank account!

TARGET

I’ll be the first to admit that I’m a Target (Tar-jay) lover. Their in-house brands aren’t bad quality, and their prices, though a bit higher than Rue 21, still are very affordable – from $20 to $50. Plus, the styling is more sophisticated, so you’ll be sure to find some great work options.

ASOS

If you’re petite or tall, Asos is your new best friend. They have options galore for all body types and sizes, and though a little pricier (nothing really over $100, though), they have sales almost every week. The icing on the cake:, free shipping over $50.

MACYS

Since Macys is so huge, you know you’ll find a great piece or two. Also, this is where we start to see some great quality items that’ll last until next year. Prices range widely, from $50 to $150, but if you’re heading to a wedding or fancy event, this is the place to go.

Need some more romper options in your life? Fashion Tasty has you covered (get it)? Happy non-chafing!
