As someone who travels for the job a whole lot, mastering the art of being comfortably presentable is something I’m forever refining. You see, I live to be comfortable, but that often makes for a sloppy mess, which isn’t a good look – both on the plane and at the office. So, with the holidays coming up and all the related travel, I thought I’d share some of my best tips with you.

After all my research, I have mastered the perfect travel outfit that makes you look put together and snuggly all at the same time. It may not help with those awkward family conversations, but at least you’ll be relaxed once you get there, right? Are you ready?

An oversized sweater from asos, Ann Taylor Loft, or your favorite shop with a sports bra underneath (to find your perfect fit, Self Magazine has you covered). Pair it with a chunky necklace from Anthropologie and you’re well on your way!

Okay, your top half is covered. What’s next? Some sturdy leggings, that’s what! For where to find the quintessential pair, I know Lululemon is a little pricey, but their quality really is unbeatable. I bought a pair a year and a half ago, and I can still wear them on the regular.

The final piece of the puzzle? Your favorite boots (mid-calf or higher) with some cute wool socks peeking out on top. To find the best of the best, look no further than these L.L. Bean knee-highs. They’re warm enough for the plane, high enough to pop above your shoes, and the icing on the cake? The lifetime warranty. Triple win!

That’s it! Easy, right?

Bonus: this outfit doubles as a great it-is-too-cold-I-need-to-be-comfy-at-the-office option.

Happy holiday traveling, everyone!
