summer reading hero
I’m going on vacation next week with my boyfriend’s family. We’ll be on a lake, and there won’t be much to do… you know, except relax, tan, and read. Now, summer books are like summer relationships: fun, quick, and easy. I mean, there’s a reason why 50 Shades of Grey came out during the season. Anyway, I need to find one (or three), and quick. So, if you’re in the market for a juicy read, take note. These will be sure to check all the boxes:

The Vacationers
A two-week family trip to Mallorca, with all the twists. Need I say more?

Beautiful Ruins
Going between 1960’s Italy and current Hollywood, this romantic read couldn’t get any spicier.

Where’d You Go, Bernadette
Bee, a young girl, compiles everything she can, from emails, documents, and secret correspondence, to find her mother. Follow her and see where the road goes!

Two female co-workers email back and forth, dishing on all their relationships. Meanwhile, the company IT guy falls for one of the ladies, purely based on her private email exchanges. I can’t wait.

Little Known Facts
Want to feel like a celeb? This one’s for you. Set around an A-list actor and his family, you’ll get a glimpse into the good and the bad that comes with fame.

VJ: The Unplugged Adventures of MTV’s First Wave
Speaking of celeb juice, this is mecca. Following the glory days of MTV (1981-1987), original VJ’s write out the inside scoop of the whole network world and the celebrities they met. Fun!

The Weekenders
Into mysteries? You’re welcome in advance. Everything’s cool with a group of island local friends… that is, until one of their husbands goes missing and the town unravels. Pure juice.

Raymie Nightingale
Three summer friends, competition, and love pretty much sums this gem up. I already ordered.

Ashley Bell
Another mystery for you nail-biters: follow a young girl who has only a year to find and save a stranger. EeErIe.

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child
Love Harry Potter? Of course you do.

Happy summer reading!
