Friends watching sports match on television together

As the most viewed televised event of the year, chances are you’ll be watching the Super Bowl – football fanatic or not. Whether you’re in it for the halftime show, commercials, or the actual game, the TV will be on. So why not up the ante? Have some people over, cook up some bite sized treats and get pumped.

As you probably guessed, this is another party guide, but before we start on the game-plan (get it?), let’s make sure you know the basics of this year’s event.

The teams: Carolina Panthers, Denver Broncos
Carolina Denver
The entertainment: Coldplay, Beyonce, Bruno Mars (Halftime show), Lady Gaga (National Anthem)
The date: Sunday, February 7th
The channel: CBS
The time: 6:30 PM EST

Okay, now onto the fun stuff. Here’s what you’ll need:

THE FOOD

Food Network
This is not the time to make a four-course, sit down meal. Think bite-sized, easy to eat treats (obviously, Food Network is recipe central). Jalapeño Popper Mini Biscuits, anyone? Yes, please.

THE DRINKS

beergarita
Beer, beer and more beer. To spice things up, try a beer-garita. This gem from Group Recipes is on-point.

EVERYTHING ELSE
everything else
So you made the food and mixed the drinks – what else do you need? Here’s your cheat sheet:

  • Disposable cups
  • Disposable plates
  • Team gear (decorations)
  • Extra snacks

Pro-tip: Target in-store pick up. Take a look at their game-day offerings, pick your faves and order them online. Then head on over, show your ID, and voila! No rush shipping needed.

See? Not so hard! We’d love to see your creations – shoot us a Facebook or Twitter post so we can marvel at your work!
