“Love is like a child, That longs for everything it can come by”

–Shakespeare, The Two Gentlemen of Verona

“Wait! We’re giving away a free Kindle?!?!? Love that!!!”

–Erin, Slice Designer

Have you had a chance to try out the new site we’ve been working on lately? It’s called Slice Bookshelf. Like our Slice shopping app, it’s designed to be simple and fast. We may be biased, but we think it’s the very best way to discover & share books with friends! To encourage our loyal Slice users to give it a go, we’re giving away something special this month …

At Slice Bookshelf, we fall in love with every page, every book, and every author, whether we are besotted with Shakespeare or hungry for Stephen King. We would like to celebrate the month of love with the official Slice Bookshelf “For the Love of Books” Sweepstakes! So, if music be the food of love, play on…

What’s your prize?

1 grand prize winner will receive a Kindle Paperwhite™and a $100 Amazon™ Gift Card.

5 first prize winners will each receive a $50 Amazon Gift Card.

25 second prize winners will each receive a $10 Amazon Gift Card.

Yes, that is 31 chances to win – more prizes than there are days in February!

How do you enter?

  1. Log onto Slice Bookshelf. (If you don’t already have a Slice Bookshelf account, simply create one with Facebook. You’ll then be able to sync your Slice account with your Slice Bookshelf account, and get a jump start on building your library.)
  2. Go to your Profile and Create a new bookshelf (or two!) with the word “Love,” “Loves,” “Loving,” or “Loved” in the title. For example: “I love Books for Cooks” or “Books that I love from the 80s… the 1780s”
  3. Show Slice some love and add books to your love-themed Bookshelf. Every book added to your bookshelf counts as an entry into the sweepstakes, so add until your heart’s content!

Winners will be chosen at random from among all eligible entries submitted by February 25, 2013. Please see here for full terms and conditions.

May the best collection of books win – all’s fair in love and war!
